A hospital system in South Jersey is currently seeking a Nephrologist for a promising opportunity with their growing team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Standard business
  • Setting: Mostly outpatient with inpatient work about 13 weeks/year and 7 weekends/year
  • Call: 2 weekdays every 5th week

Responsibilities:

The Nephrologist will be responsible for:

  • Conduct comprehensive exams to evaluate kidney function for disease and disorders.
  • Treat a wide spectrum of diseases across the entire continuum including high blood pressure,
  • fluid retention, complex metabolic conditions, electrolyte, acid-based disturbances, mineral
  • imbalance and infections with detailed attention to identify abnormalities and kidney neoplasms.
  • Collect and record patient information, such as medical histories, reports and examination results.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
  • Order, analyze lab results, and interpret image studies with strong understanding of various
  • medications that affect kidney function.
  • Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
  • Provide relationship-centered care, considering the patient's psychosocial and physical needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
  • Provide other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current unrestricted NJ medical license
  • BE/BC in Nephrology (MD/DO)
