Locums Opportunity OB HospitalistLocation: Clinton, North CarolinaFacility: Level I NurseryAvailability & Coverage
  • Assignment Dates: April 10, 2026 April 27, 2026
  • Coverage Type: 24-hour call only
  • Shifts Needed:
    • Friday, April 10 (8:00 AM) Monday, April 13 (8:00 AM)
    • Friday, April 24 (8:00 AM) Monday, April 27 (8:00 AM)
Call & Response Expectations
  • Call Type: Beeper
  • Response Time: Must be within 20 minutes (hospital bylaws)
  • Housing: Hospital apartments adjacent to facility provided
  • Hospital Contact: Calls placed to providers cell phone
Licensure & Credentialing (Quick Screen)
  • Active North Carolina Medical License Required
  • NC DEA (with NC address) Required
  • NC Medicaid Credentialing Required
  • Board Certified (OB/GYN) Required
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Patient rounding (assigned and unassigned)
  • On-call coverage for:
    • Emergent C-sections
    • Vaginal deliveries
    • Emergent GYN procedures
  • High-Risk Deliveries: Emergent only
    • No NICU onsite
    • Transfers to New Hanover Regional or Cape Fear Valley (3045 minutes)
  • Nursery Level: Level I
Facility & Volume Details
  • Average Monthly Deliveries: 27
    • Average 11 C-sections
  • Labor Rooms: 3
  • Postpartum Beds: 14
  • Daily Census: Typically 13 deliveries per 24-hour period
  • Support Services:
    • Hospitalist support staff
    • 24/7 on-call Anesthesiology
    • 24/7 on-call Radiology
