A health system in Suffolk County, Long Island, is looking for a Director of Epilepsy to join their growing team.

About the Opportunity:

• Location: Suffolk County, Long Island
• Specialty: Neurology/ Epilepsy
• Hours: M-F Business hours

Responsibilities:

• The physician will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and will direct the Epilepsy team by reviewing studies and providing clinical and administrative oversight of patients throughout the hospital.
• Also responsible for promoting effective patient safety and performance improvement initiatives to improve processes and outcomes of patient care for epilepsy patients.

Requirements:

• M.D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
• Completion of Medical Residency with Board Certification
• Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York
• Completion of Epilepsy fellowship & 10+ years is preferred.
