Job Description

Locums Interventional Radiologist (Light IR)Location: Dover / Milford, DelawareCoverage Type: Onsite onlyAvailability & Coverage Needs (High Priority)
  • Start: ASAP (as soon as credentialed)
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Commitment Needed: 12 weeks per month
  • Purpose: Vacation and gap coverage (1 FTE covering 2 hospitals)
Schedule & Onsite Requirements
  • Shift: MondayFriday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (includes 1-hour lunch)
  • Onsite Requirement: Yes
  • Telemedicine: Not available
Practice Setting
  • Facilities: Hospital-based, 2 facilities
  • Reading Location: All reads performed out of Dover
  • Coverage Model: Team-based
Case Mix & Daily Expectations
  • Interventional Radiology: 2030%
    • ~56 IR procedures per day
  • General Diagnostic Radiology: 7080%
    • ~5060 diagnostic reads/day
    • Mix includes CT (510/day), X-ray, ultrasound, general reads
  • Facility can accommodate limited diagnostic modalities
  • General Radiologists with light IR experience will be considered
    • Complex IR covered by dedicated IR physicians
Required IR Proficiency
  • Bone biopsy
  • Nephrostomy tube exchange
  • Liver biopsy
  • Angiogram
Support Staff & Technology
  • Radiology Physician Assistants (assist with IR procedures)
  • Reading room assistants
  • Nighthawk service for after-hours coverage
  • PACS: GE Universal
  • Voice Recognition: PowerScribe 360
Licensure Requirements
  • Active State License OR Licensing in Progress Accepted
Board Certification
  • Board Certified Required
