Patient Population: Adult and geriatric

Trauma Level: II

Call Schedule:

If part of call pool: MondaySunday

Weekday evenings: Telephone call

Weekends: Rounding with APP support

Call Ratio: 1 in 5

• Practice Mix: ~60% Hematology / 40% Oncology

• Primary Focus: Thoracic Lung Cancer patients

• Secondary Focus: General/benign hematology from patients not assigned to other physician specialties

• Current Physician Specialties: Breast, Lung (different location), GI, GU, Neuro

• Physicians: 6

• APP Coverage:

• Inpatient team: 5 APPs

• Outpatient team: 5 APPs at this location

• Outpatient Clinic:

• 816 patients per day

• Schedule template allows 78 hours of patient appointment time

Hospital (Call/Rounding):

Average census of 22 patients across 2 hospitals

Includes 45 new patients

• Oncology Outpatient setting

• Participation on Tumor Board

• Orders tests and imaging

• Prescribing responsibilities

• Required Procedures:

• FNA

• Biopsy

Chemotherapy Administration: Nurse Oncologist

• EMR: Epic

• Estimated Timeframe: 90 days

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology Required

• Active Michigan license Highly Preferred

• Will review providers needing to obtain MI license
