Job Description

OB Hospitalist Locums & Locums to PermLocation: Fresno, CaliforniaSetting: Hospital-based | Level II NICUType: Locums or Locums-to-PermKey Highlights
  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed

  • Shifts:

    • 56 shifts/month (24-hour shifts: 7 AM 7 AM)

    • Weekend coverage required

    • Holiday pay premium for holiday shifts

  • Call: No on-call responsibilities

  • Patient Volume:

    • ~1314 patients/day (inpatient, outpatient, rounds, clinic)

    • Avg 45 deliveries per shift

    • 75% vaginal deliveries, 25% C-sections

      Clinical Role
      • Full-scope OB hospitalist responsibilities

      • Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team

      • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care management

      • Deliver inpatient and outpatient care in a Level II NICU setting

      • Must have hands-on delivery experience

      Candidate Requirements
      • Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology REQUIRED

      • BLS, ACLS, DEA REQUIRED prior to start

      • California Medical License Active or in progress REQUIRED

      • NPDB Self-Query REQUIRED

      • Must live within 30 minutes of facility No long-distance commuters

      • Fellowship: Not required

      • Experience: 15 years preferred (not required, but highly valued)

      • Not eligible:

        • New grads

        • Board-eligible but not certified

        • Lapsed board certification

        Compensation & Logistics
        • Pay: Competitive locums rate, discussed during interview based on experience/training

        • Employment Model: 1099 independent contractor accepted

        • Interviews: Conducted via video (Zoom/Teams)
