Locums OB Hospitalist Northern Michigan (Near Thunder Bay)Position Overview

RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible OB/GYN for a locum tenens OB Hospitalist assignment at a local hospital in Northern Michigan, close to Thunder Bay. This is an inpatient-only opportunity providing 24-hour call coverage.

The hospital averages 100150 deliveries per year and offers a supportive environment with pediatricians on call 24/7.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient OB/GYN hospitalist coverage

• 24-hour call coverage

• Manage labor and delivery, antepartum and postpartum patients

• Perform OB and GYN procedures including:

  • C-sections

  • Suction D&C

  • Laparoscopy

  • Tubal ligations

  • Reading NSTs

• Collaborate with on-call pediatric support

• Document care in EPIC EMR

• 2/9 @ 5pm 2/11 @ 7am

• 2/26 @ 7am 2/27 @ 7am

• 3/2 @ 7am 3/4 @ 7am

• 4/5 @ 7am 4/6 @ 7am

• 4/13 @ 7am 4/15 @ 7am

• 4/20 @ 7am 4/22 @ 7am

• 4/27 @ 7am 4/29 @ 7am

• 4/30 @ 7am 5/1 @ 7am

• Additional future shifts may become available

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN

• Must have performed at least 50 deliveries in the last 12 months

• Must have completed at least 25 GYN cases in the last 12 months

• Comfortable with inpatient-only hospitalist role

• Eligible for Michigan licensure (or already licensed)
