Job Description

Locums Family Medicine Physician | Laguna Hills, CaliforniaAssignment Overview
  • Setting: Primary Care outpatient clinic
  • Reason for Coverage: Gap until permanent PCP is hired
  • Need: Long-term FM PCP starting mid-December 2025
  • Target Start Date: 12/15/2025
  • Duration: 26+ weeks, likely through JulyAugust 2026
  • Schedule: 45 days/week (5 days preferred)
  • Call: None
  • EMR: Epic
  • Average Daily Census: 1820 adult patients
Required CredentialsLicensure
  • Active, unrestricted California medical license REQUIRED
  • DEA REQUIRED
  • BLS or ACLS REQUIRED
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years outpatient primary care experience REQUIRED
  • Epic outpatient charting experience REQUIRED
Board Status
  • Board Certification Preferred (not required)
Clinical Details
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Procedures: Ideally able to perform common outpatient IM procedures (biopsies, sutures, etc.)
  • Equipment: Standard outpatient primary care equipment
Support Staff
  • Full support team available:
    • Practice manager
    • Front office supervisor
    • Medical assistants
    • Patient care associates
  • No supervision required
