A hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located near Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
This opportunity offers a Monday-Friday schedule with primary, secondary, and OB call available but not required. Of the 21 total lines, 4 are 5x10s and the remaining are 5x8s, typically starting between 6:30-8:30 AM and ending by 3:30-5:00 PM. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center handling a variety of cases including general, bread & butter, ortho, OB, neuro (mostly spine, some cranial), open hearts (no cardiac/TEE certification required), and healthy peds. The practice uses Epic EMR and operates an MD-only model with 2 current MDs, looking to expand to 26 MDs. There are 9 ORs at the main campus, 5 endoscopy suites, and 2-3 ORs at a nearby ASC focused on ortho and ophthalmology. Case volume includes approximately 1,200 cases per month and 700 OB deliveries annually. Overtime is paid after 40 hours. Vaccine not required; certifications TBD.
