A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Night shift staff on the weekends at one of their adult inpatient psychiatric facilities in Queens.

Responsibilities:

TheInpatient Mental Health Nurse (RN) will:

• Assessthe patients physical needs
• Administermedication
• Admit, discharge, and transferpatients based on Physician orders
• Assistwith procedures and physical exams
• Recordappropriate progress notes and other data into the patients medical record
• Drawblood, collectvital signs, etc.
• Performother duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of Clinical experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
