CA client's Surgery Center is an outpatient surgical center located less than one hour east of San Francisco. They said, "we are committed to providing patients with an excellent surgical experience with state of the art equipment and highly trained staff. We are equipped to provide Orthopedic, Podiatric, Pain Medicine, Plastic Surgery, and OB-GYN cases."

We are seeking a Pre-Op/PACU/OR Circulating Nurse.

Job duties require standing for prolonged periods, traveling around the surgical suite or outside the operating room to get sterile supplies/ instruments needed for the surgery case, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.; Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assess, instruct & prepare patients prior to surgery
Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct
Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
Initiate IVs and ensure patients are informed about procedure
Assess patients’ post-operative condition
Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress, meeting discharge criteria
Log all findings in patient files
Answer patient questions and ensure patient comfort
Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician
Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies

The rate is $55-$60 an hour depending on experience. We require 1 year of OR experience
