As a Nurse (Inpatient Clinical/Obstetrics/Gynecology) you will: Duties - Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to OB/GYN patients and their newborns. - Serve as subject matter expert and consultant for nursing staff and healthcare teammates in other areas of the hospital. - Serve as Charge Nurse on a rotational basis. - Develop nursing care plans and procedures, set standards of care, prescribe special care and identify specific nursing problems for all patients. - Review medication orders and verify any side effects, allergies, contraindications, and continued treatment needs with the patient in accordance with (IAW) DoD, Defense Health Agency (DHA), and local instructions. - Provide perioperative care to include serving as the circulating RN for cesarean sections and additional obstetric surgical procedures as needed.
