Duties - Resolve inconsistent test results and the occurrence of unusual events and takes appropriate action. - Performs specialized and technically demanding tests - Deal directly with patient care credentialed providers in discussing interpretation of test results - Train, education, and asses the performance of medical lab tech who work in the microbiology lab. - Conduct the administrative and quality review to maintain accreditation within the lab. - Review daily quality control and quality assurance data, recognize and solve quality assurance problems. - Apply scientifically based analytical evaluations to ensure technical and statistical accuracy of tests and procedures. - Assist in evaluating new test procedures, establishing constituent normal ranges.
