Duties: - Conduct electroencephalograms on patients in Electroencephalography (EEG) laboratory or on wards, ICU and neonatal nursery. - Perform procedure set up to include explaining procedures to patients, positioning patients, and maintaining a sterile and controlled environment. - Distinguish artifactual and cerebral sources of electrographic findings. - Recognize clinical manifestations of different types of seizures as they occur and perform behavior testing to assess the degree of responsiveness during the recording. - Instruct students and other technicians in EEG technicians. - Perform operator maintenance of EEG equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
