- Prepare appropriate specimens for testing. - Compile lab results each area of specialization. - Perform calibration on all instruments to ensure samples meet quality standards. - Assist in the training of new technicians. - Gather data for certain administrative reports. - Prepare specimens for shipment to other installations and laboratories in accordance with instructions concerning prevention of breakage, leakage and thawing of frozen specimens. - Consult with physicians regarding test findings or on additional tests.
