Major duties: - Independently prepares, calibrates, interfaces, and operates all equipment used in polysomnographic procedures. - Operates polysomnographic recording instruments to obtain an electroencephalographic record of patients sleep. - Prepare the patient for tests reassuring the patient, providing basic education concerning the nature of the testing, allaying fears, or misconceptions. - Makes minor repairs and performs operator level maintenance to the equipment used for sleep disorders evaluation. - Post calibrates all the equipment used for the polysomnographic procedure. - Independently interprets data obtained from all night recording.
