- Use auditory brainstem testing to assist in locating the site of lesion within the auditory system. - Make determinations of physical profile status and fitness for duty in various military occupations. - Manage the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program which includes monitoring, collection of recorded data, reporting, notification of parents, counseling, education and follow up. - Select, administer, and interpret audiologic diagnostic test results, acoustic emittance tests, speech audiometry tests (threshold and recognition), interprets auditory evoked potential and otoacoustic emissions. - Develop diagnostic impressions and make recommendations, including referrals to medical and/or rehabilitative follow-up, as well as making work relatedness determination is cases of noise induced hearing loss. - Select and fit earmolds and hearing devices. - Counsel patients and families on test results, rehabilitation, and hearing aid use. - Performs Other Duties as Assigned
