Duties - Administer and monitor conscious sedation therapy. - Prepare IV solutions used with conscious sedation; recognizes medication and solution incompatibilities. - Provide complete documentation associated with the preparation, administration and termination of parenteral therapy. - Maintain accurate and complete documentation that reflects pertinent and factual observations of the procedure and patient progress. - Review patient history and reconciles medications to determine suitability for nursing level sedation.
