Duties - Performs triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements. - Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care. - Observes, monitors, and assesses patient's condition; Recognizes, identifies, and interprets serious situations; Determines and implements proper emergency measures. - Interviews and takes medical histories, to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient. - Independently manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the physician or provider is available. - Performs various pulmonary ventilation functions and documents appropriately in the health record.
