Duties - Make recommendations regarding the well-being of mother and infants for normal and high-risk obstetrical/gynecology patients. - Assess patients and family's health care and psychosocial needs. - Delivers lactation care within accepted standards and provides antepartum/postpartum breastfeeding consultations. - Collaborates with clinical experts/resources to identify learning needs and implement training programs to develop clinical comfort, confidence and competency. - Evaluates treatment regimens and facilitates improved patient care in a cost-effective manner. - Assists patients with interpretation of physical exams and/or laboratory reports and alerts providers to significant changes or abnormalities. - Identifies subtle changes in patient's condition and provides insight information to physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
