As a Medical Technician you will: - Collects patient samples when necessary. - Ensures timely distribution to laboratory sections of all specimens received. - Performs clinical laboratory tests on specimens as ordered. - Evaluates and interprets results to determine if data is complete and valid. - Performs and calculates manual cell counts. - Processes laboratory specimens for shipment. - Performs all required specimen preparations prior to storage and shipment. - Conducts necessary quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures. - Performs necessary laboratory periodic equipment checks. - Assists in training laboratory personnel, staff and students. - Routine Equipment Setup and Maintenance.
