TheSepsis Coordinator (RN)will:
- Ensureevidence-based sepsis treatment protocols are the Standard of Care within the facility
- Collaboratewith the Medical &Hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with a diagnosis of sepsis, severe sepsis, and septic shock
- Collect, report, and analyzesepsis program data to drive the Sepsis Program
- Reviewand analyzeclinical data, presents the data in an understandable and meaningful context to staff and physicians to motivate adherence to protocols
- Lead Sepsis Performance Improvement Committee
- Lead Sepsis Interdisciplinary Committee meetings
- Provide education and clinical expertise to the care team and the community
- Collaboratewith Physiciansand staff in an effort to maximize timely evidence based care to decrease morbidity, mortality, length of stay, and readmissions in sepsis cases
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 5+ years of Clinical experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an Emergency Department and/or Critical / Intensive Care role/setting
