Duties: - Serves as the Forensic Healthcare Program Medical Director and Forensic HealthcareProgram Manager (FHP-D/M) to ensure patients receive prompt, coordinated, competent and compassionate healthcare when a patient discloses sexualassault and/or other physical violence; a healthcare provider suspects a patient was sexually and/orphysically assaulted; or a patient is accused or discloses they are accused of having committed, orhaving engaged in, sexual assault, unwanted or reportable sexual violence and/or other unwanted orreportable physical violence. - Incumbent is a subject matter expert (SME) and is the lead Forensic Healthcare Examiner (FHE) for the hospital. - As a FHE, conducts sexual assault medical forensicexaminations (SAFEs) per regulatory guidelines. Also conducts targeted forensic healthcare examinations (FHEXs) for patients suffering injuries from other types of violence to include but notlimited to interpersonal violence (IPV), domestic violence and child physical and/or sexual abuse. - Maintains medical tracking and monitoring of patients following sexual assault,interpersonal/domestic violence, and child abuse/sexual abuse within the facility. - Serves as a preceptor to or assigns experienced FHE preceptors for newly trained/assignedFHEs. - Performs other duties as assigned.
