  • Call: Possible night call after 4:30 PM (rarely called in during the week)
  • Type: Inpatient & Outpatient (Hospital + Outpatient Imaging Center)

  • Not a Chest Pain Center or Trauma Designated
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Support Staff: Radiology nurses, techs, and Sacramento-based Radiology group for overflow/after-hours reads
  • Reason for Coverage: Radiologist resignation
Clinical Volume
  • Studies Interpreted Daily: ~70
  • Procedures Performed Daily: 58
  • Daily Modalities:
    • CT: 1520
    • X-ray: 1525
    • Ultrasound: 1015
    • MRI: 58
    IR Procedures Required
    • General IR:
      • Thoracentesis
      • Paracentesis
      • Nephrostomy tubes
      • Intra-abdominal abscess drainage
      • Chest tubes
      • Suprapubic catheters
      • Biopsies:
        • Thyroid
        • Lung
        • Other organ systems
        • Other:
          • Lumbar punctures
          • Barium studies
          • Centesis exams with drains
          • CT/US-guided biopsies preferred
          • Outpatient Coverage (Building 4):
            • Must be present for contrast CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsiesHospital Patient Volume
              • Admissions/Day: 1215
              • ED Volume: 8590 patients/day
              • Inpatient/Obs Census: ~50 (includes ICU and OB)
              Credentialing & Requirements
              • License: Active California license Required
              • Board Status: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible Required
              • Residency: Completion Required
              • Certifications:
                • BLS Required
                • DEA Required
                • CA Fluoroscopy Permit Required at time of submission
