Locum Pediatric Emergency Medicine Opening Minneapolis, Minnesota

Assignment Details

• Start Date: July 1st

• Duration: 6 months (with potential extension until permanent hire is made)

• Minimum Availability Considered: 1 week/month

• Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday

• Physician Shifts: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM; potential overnights starting at 11:00 PM

• APP Shifts: Daytime starts at 7:00 AM (evening schedule under restructuring)

Coverage Needs

• Reason for Coverage: Turnover and upcoming leaves of absence

• FTE Needed:

• 2 FTE Pediatric EM Physicians

• 1 FTE NP/PA

Clinical Setting

• Setting: Outpatient, Pediatric Emergency Medicine

• Patient Encounters: 1216 per shift

• Case Types: Pediatric EM cases, standard EM procedures

• Support Staff:

• PEM physicians

• Residents

• Occasional non-PEM moonlighters

• Full 24/7 imaging

• APPs

Licensing & Certification Requirements

• License: Active Minnesota license or IMLC accepted

• Board Certification:

• Pediatric residency with Pediatric EM fellowship OR

• BC/Truly BE ABEM or AOBEM with Pediatric EM experience

Technology & EMR

• EMR: Epic

Vaccination Requirements
