Availability & Coverage Details

• Open Dates:
  • Monday, February 23 (7:00 AM) to Monday, March 2 (7:00 AM)
  • Ongoing need beginning January for recurring coverage
• Coverage Pattern:
  • Every third week of OB call coverage
  • Each assignment is 7 consecutive days
    • Monday 7:00 AM to following Monday 7:00 AM
• Reason for Opening: Ongoing call panel coverage

Call Structure & Expectations

• Coverage Type: 24-hour call with callback rate
• In-House Requirement: None
  • Standby only
  • Must be able to respond within 30 minutes if called
• Call Breakdown:
  • Monday 7:00 AM Friday noon:
    • Covers unassigned and drop-in patients only (low volume)
  • Friday noon Monday 7:00 AM:
    • Covers all OB calls, including patients of local providers
• OB Only: No gynecology coverage required

Patient Volume & Workload

• Average Call-Ins: ~4 per call week (varies)
  • 12 deliveries on average
  • Remaining call-ins include:
    • OB emergencies / triage
    • Weekend discharges
• Hospital Volume: Approximately 3040 deliveries per month
  • Majority handled by local OB/GYNs
• Average Daily Patient Volume: 2
• Average Deliveries: 1.7

Practice Setting & Support

• Reporting Location: Hospital in Decatur, TX (only when called)
• Support: Labor & Delivery services available
• Local Coverage:
  • 2 local OB/GYNs cover the other two weeks
  • Locums is never solo in the broader call panel

Provider Requirements

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Specialty: OB only
• EMR: ECW

Onboarding ExpectationsProviders should plan to arrive early on the first day to complete:

• Hospital badge pickup
• System access setup
• Brief walkthrough of relevant clinical areasSupport staff will coordinate timing and assist with onboarding.
