Start Date: Feburary 23, 2025
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: 4 to 8, 24hr in-house call shifts per month
Shift Types: Day, Night, Weekend

Facility & Setting

Facility Type: 146-bed Acute Care Medical Center
Nursery: Level II
Practice Setting: Hospital and Clinic
EMR: Epic
Medical Staff: 280 physicians across a wide range of specialties

Clinical Responsibilities

In-house coverage of all OB services on labor and delivery
Handle unassigned OB/GYN call for the hospital
Supervise and manage residents
Must be proficient in OB/GYN core skills and minor GYN surgeries

Workload & Volume

Monthly Deliveries: 7075
Non-Obstetrical Surgeries per Month: 2025
Call Shifts Needed: 8 24-hour shifts per month
Not a slow practice busy OB unit

Support Staff Onsite

5 Board-Certified OB/GYNs
5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners
1 Certified Nurse Midwife

Licensing & Qualifications

Board Certified Required
- American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Active Virginia License Required
- Willing to consider candidates needing licensure
DEA Required
Certifications Preferred:
- EFM
- NRP
- PALS
Experience:
- Minimum 23 years required
- 5+ years strongly preferred
