Opportunity Description

• The Medical Director leads the Health Center senior management team, overseeing clinical operations, policies, and the medical staff, including physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
• The successful candidate will collaborate with the Administrative Director and Advanced Practitioner/ Nurse Manager to ensure high standards in medical and nursing care.
• The Medical Director helps implement policies from Primary Care and specialties, working towards an equitable, efficient, patient-centered healthcare system.
• Seeking physicians who are eager to contribute to the clinical, educational, and scholarly missions.
• Academic rank at HMS (Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor) will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, including expertise in medical education, health system leadership, research, and community service.
• Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Board of Family Medicine, or the comparable American Osteopathic Boards and qualify for a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
