Job Description

Locums Cardiovascular Surgery Saint Paul, Minnesota (IMLC Accepted)

Start: ASAP (January 1 preferred but unlikely credentials committee meets January 5, 2026)Schedule: MondayFriday, 7a5pCall: 1 in 3 rotation includes day shift, overnight (5p7a), and 24-hr weekend call

Case Types (Predominantly Routine):

  • CABG / Valves / Standard Cardiothoracic

  • Approximate annual volumes: CAB / Valves: 250 TAVR standbys: 200 Clips: 100 Lead Extractions: 35

  • Additional procedures include: Aortic aneurysms & dissections Atrial fibrillation surgery Cardiac valve repair & replacement Carotid endarterectomy Congenital heart surgery Coronary artery bypass surgery Esophageal surgery (minimally invasive) Heart failure surgery Heart transplant surgery LVAD surgery Lung surgery Minimally invasive & robotic heart surgery Thoracoscopic surgery

Licensure:

  • Active MN License OR IMLC Accepted
