Job Description

Locums AnesthesiologistLocation: Carson City, NevadaAssignment Overview
  • Coverage Model: On-site with call
  • Rotation: 3 weeks on / 2 weeks off
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Cardiac Experience: Preferred (TEE not required)
Schedule & Call Requirements (Key Screening)
  • Day Hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Call Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Call Schedule: OR call rotated equally among providers while on service
  • Call Response Time: 20 minutes
Licensure & Credentialing Requirements
  • Active Nevada Medical License: Required before credentialing begins
  • NV CSR: Required
  • DEA License: Required
Practice Model
  • Physicians supervise CRNAs and perform their own cases
  • Cardiac cases primarily performed by physicians
Staffing & OR Coverage
  • Daytime Providers:
    • 3 MDs
    • 10 CRNAs
OR Availability:
  • 7:00 AM 3:00 PM: 11 rooms (including OB)
  • 3:00 PM 5:00 PM: 5 rooms (including OB)
  • 5:00 PM 7:00 PM: 3 rooms (including OB)
  • Additional Rooms:
    • Endoscopy: 1 room
    • CV: 1 room
    • Cath Lab: 1 room
Case Mix
  • Cardiac
  • General surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • OB
  • Urology
  • GI
  • Podiatry
  • Healthy pediatrics
  • ENT
  • Neuro
  • Vascular / thoracic
Required Skills & Procedures
  • Proficiency in spinals, regional blocks, and epidurals
  • Case logs required: Proof of epidurals, spinals, and blocks
