Locums Orthopedic Surgeon | Monroe, North CarolinaQuick Screening Requirements (Required)
  • Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
  • Active North Carolina medical license
  • Able to respond within 30 minutes while on call
  • Comfortable with 2nd call / backup coverage
  • Available ASAP through 12/31/2026
Preferred
  • Fellowship training
Assignment Overview
  • Coverage Type: Locums
  • Coverage Scope: General Orthopedic call only
  • Hospitals Covered: 2 hospitals in close proximity
  • Case Type: Emergency cases only (no elective cases)
  • Trauma Designation: None
Schedule & Call Details
  • Coverage Days: Weekdays and weekends
  • Average Coverage: Approximately 7 days per month
  • Call Type: Pager call
  • Call Ratio: 1 in 3
  • On-Site Requirement: Must be able to go on-site as needed
  • APP Coverage: None
Clinical Responsibilities
  • ED consults
  • Inpatient orthopedic consults
  • Fracture management
  • Admissions and rounding on unassigned patients
  • After-hours calls from answering service and nursing units

  • Beds: 200
  • EMR: Epic
  • Patients per Shift: Varies
