Job Description

Locum Tenens Opportunity NephrologistLocation: Durango, ColoradoAssignment Type: Locum / Temporary CoverageIMLC AcceptedKey Availability
  • Assignment Dates: May 25 (7a) June 1 (7a)
  • Schedule: 24-hour call (7a-7a)
  • Expected Days per Month: Up to 15 days
  • Inpatient Rounding: 24 hours/day depending on admits
  • Average Daily Census: 6 patients
Licenses & Certifications
  • Board Certification: Nephrology Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (05 years post-residency) - REQUIRED
  • Colorado License: Active or IMLC (LOQ in hand at submission) - REQUIRED
  • DEA: Active Colorado DEA -HIGHLY PREFERRED (Required for credentialing; transferred DEA acceptable if maintained for duration of assignment)
Candidate Requirements
  • Must confirm all available coverage dates within assignment window - REQUIRED
  • Must acknowledge EMR training requirements and complete in order to avoid start delays - REQUIRED
EMR Training Requirements (EPIC)
  • Credentialing: Pre-app and full application submission required to move provider into applicant in training status and generate AD account (up to 5 days processing).
  • Module Completion: Must finish learning modules prior to virtual EMR training.
  • Virtual EMR (PPL) Training: Attend only after module completion; must finish at least one week prior to first day.
  • First Day Details: Only released after EMR modules and virtual training are completed.Facility / Role Details
    • Setting: Inpatient, Trauma Level III
    • Beds: 82
    • Reason for Coverage: Unexpected medical leave
    • Support Staff: None
    • Clinical Duties:
      • AKF management
      • Hyponatremia management
      • Transplant management
      • Dialysis management
    • Required Procedures: Temporary dialysis catheters, occasional kidney biopsies
    Additional Notes
    • No anticipated coverage beyond August 31
