Locums Hematology/Oncology Bristol, VirginiaAssignment Overview

  • Start Date: March 2, 2026

  • Duration: 3 months

  • Position Type: Locums

  • Coverage Type: Clinic coverage only

  • Call Requirement: No call

Schedule

  • Hours: 810 hours per day

  • Days: 45 days per week

  • Typical Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

    • Last patient scheduled at 3:40 PM

    • Days of the week are negotiable

    Practice & Support Staff

    • Department Composition:

      • 1 Full-Time Medical Oncologist/Hematologist

      • 1 Full-Time Medical Oncologist/Infectious Disease Specialist

      • 4 APPs

    • Support Team Includes:

      • 4 APPs

      • 2 Oncology RNs

      • 8 Infusion RNs

      • 4 MA/LPNs

      • 2 Clinical Pharmacists

      • Social Worker, Dietician, Navigators

      • Front Office Schedulers

      • Nurse Educator, Financial Counselors

      • Research Nurse

      • On-site Laboratory

        Patient Details

        • Patient Volume: 1315 patients per day

        • Patient Population: Adults (18+)

        Clinical Scope

        • Solid tumors and malignant hematology

        • Benign hematology (iron deficiency, anemia, etc.)

        • Bone marrow transplants referred to tertiary centers

        • No bone marrow biopsies performed in clinic

        Technology

        • EMR: Epic / Beacon

        Required Qualifications (No Exceptions)

        • Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Required

        • Active Virginia License Required

        • BLS Required

        • DEA Required

        • Minimum 2 years of experience Required

        • Emergency privileges will be requested
