Job Description

Locums OB HospitalistLocation: Bardstown, KentuckySetting: InpatientReason for Coverage: Provider resignation Availability
  • Dates Needed: December 2025, ongoing coverage into 2026
  • Call: Provider is on first call
  • Admissions: Varies (rural hospital)
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Patient rounding
  • Management of labors
  • Management of antepartum triage and treatment
  • Responding to ED consults related to OB/GYN issues
Required Procedures
  • Vaginal deliveries
  • C-sections
  • Management of maternal hypertension
  • Management of maternal hemorrhage
  • ER consults
  • D&C
  • Ablations
  • Hysterectomy
  • Urgent gynecologic surgeries as needed
Practice Details
  • Estimated Deliveries: ~30 per month
  • Midwives on staff: No
  • Support Staff: RNs on L&D
  • EMR: Epic
Provider Requirements
  • Board Certification: Board Certified (required
  • State License: Active Kentucky license (required)
  • Certifications: ACLS and DEA required for credentialing
