Locums Cardiology -Billings, MontanaStart Date: ASAPDuration: OngoingType: Inpatient Cardiology Coverage

Position Overview

• Shifts: 12-hour (6a6p) or 24-hour (6a6a)

  • 12-hour shifts: In-house

  • 24-hour shifts: 12 hours in-house + 12 hours on call

• Coverage Need: ~1 week per month

• Setting: Inpatient cardiology service, Trauma Level I facility

• Beds: 30

• Patient Volume: 1020 patients/day

• Support: APP team in place

• Duties:

  • Inpatient rounding

  • Reading inpatient echos & nuclear studies

  • Performing inpatient TEEs

• Call: 12 nights/week, consultative only (primarily phone calls from hospitalists or regional transfer facilities)

• Call Response Time: Within 20 minutes

• EMR: Cerner

Clinical Expectations

• Full inpatient cardiology service coverage

• Collaborate with APPs for patient management

• Provide procedural cardiology care (TEE, echo, nuclear study reads)

• Cover consults and transfers when on call

Requirements

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Cardiology

• Fellowship in Cardiology required

• Active BLS certification required

• Active state license (Montana or IMLC) preferred
