• Flexible M-F shifts 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, and 7am - 7pm
• Weekend coverage includes 12-hour and 24-hour shifts
• 2 - 5 cases per day
• General surgery focus -- 70% of caseload
• 90% adult patients, 10% healthy pediatric cases
• Beeper call coverage required for nights and weekends
• Orientation period on day shifts before night coverage begins
• Ongoing coverage needed 1 - 4 weeks per month
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
