Locum General Surgery Opportunity Oregon, Ohio

Step into a high-impact general surgery role at a community hospital with a Level III Trauma Center. We're urgently seeking a board-certified general surgeon for select 24-hour call dates starting this July. Assignment Details:

• July 47, July 18-22

• August 717

• September 514

• October 47

• Ongoing Coverage: Expect 57 days/month

• Shift: 24-hour call (7:00 AM7:00 AM)Call Ratio: 15-20 / 24 hours

  About the Role:

• Hospital-based general surgery coverage

• Includes consults, procedures, and trauma response

• Level III Trauma Center with 27,000 annual ER visits

• Support may include occasional input from clinic-based APPs

• Average 10 surgical cases/day

• Must be experienced in managing both general and trauma surgical cases

Facility Snapshot:

• 10 operating rooms

• One full-time general surgeon on staff

• Highly experienced OR team, including robotic and advanced general surgery support

• EMR: Epic

• Adult-focused patient population (peds referred out)

Required Procedures:

• General adult surgical cases

• Trauma-related procedures

• Central lines, PA catheters, chest tubes, vascular access

• Cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, appendectomies, bowel resections

• Trauma care for internal organ injuries (e.g., perforations, lacerations)

Requirements:

• Board Certified in General Surgery

• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certified

• Active Ohio medical license (no IMLC)

• Must have clean malpractice and background files

• Preference given to providers located close to Ohio
