Locum Tenens GastroenterologistLocation: Richmond, VirginiaFacilities:

Location One: 466-bed hospital, Level I Trauma Center
Location Two: 292-bed hospital, Level III Trauma Center

Assignment Overview

Start - ASAP
Coverage Type: Call Only
Call Hours: 24-hour call from Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
Call Includes: GI emergencies, including ERCP and EUS procedures
Daily Patient Volume: 7-8 new consults per day plus rounding on patients from the previous days
Support Staff: None required onsite for call
Must manage true GI emergencies and exercise appropriate judgmentroutine scopes/colonoscopies are not expected on weekends
Fill gaps in the hospitals current GI call panel (hospital is actively recruiting permanent providers)
Locums Gastrointestinal Call to include Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP) procedures as needed

Clinical Requirements

Board Certification: Required in Gastroenterology
Procedures:
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) - open to general GI that does not do ERCP
EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound)

Licensing & Credentialing

State License: Active Virginia license required
Privileges: Temporary/emergency credentialing may be considered
