Job Overview
NW Pediatrics Integrative Medicine (NWPIM) seeks a Primary Care Physician (MD or DO) who specializes in either pediatrics or family medicine and believes in our vision:

Responsibilities

  • Provides primary healthcare to infants, children, and families in collaboration with physicians and other providers.
  • Provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of common pediatric illnesses, minor traumas, chronic conditions, and behavioral problems.
  • Performs health histories, physical examinations, sports physicals, and makes referrals as appropriate.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and radiology tests, order and interpret age-appropriate screening tests, prescribe age-appropriate medications, and provide counseling and education of children and their families.
  • Formulate a family-centered healthcare plan recognizing the child and family as active participants.
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of prescribed treatment plans.
  • Follow established standards of practice within the MD/DO scope of practice.
  • Additional duties may be assigned dependent on individual role.


Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Experience in a clinic or ambulatory setting preferred.
  • State licensure/board certification as a physician (MD or DO)
  • Prescriptive authority & DEA in the state of Oregon.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds
  • BLS Certification
  • Stand out! Are you a provider adept at performing frenectomies, circumcisions, lactation support, medical ear piercing, body therapies, or cranial sacral therapy?
  • Stand out! Are you a provider who is trauma-informed and has education in behavioral health?


Personal Qualities

  • Ability to function in a variety of roles such as healthcare provider, consultant and/or educator.
  • Demonstrate practice consistent with professional standards, including State Medical Board regulations.
  • Maintain clinical competency through continuing education and modify practice consistent with current practice guidelines and clinical recommendations for primary healthcare of children.
  • Assume accountability for professional actions, including incorporating risk management strategies into clinical practice.
  • Ability to develop a quick rapport and maintain long-term relationships with patients and families.
