Locum Tenens Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Location: Carson City, NevadaStart Date: ASAP OngoingSchedule: 3 weeks on / 2 weeks offCall: OR call rotated equally among MDs while workingCall Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AMCall Response Time: 20 minutes

Clinical Practice Details

  • Daily Hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

  • Supervision: MDs supervise CRNAs and handle own cases, especially cardiac

  • Case Types:

    • Cardiac

    • General

    • Ortho

    • OB

    • Urology

    • GI

    • Podiatry

    • Healthy Peds

    • ENT

    • Neuro

    • Vascular Thoracic

  • Block Skills Required: Proficient in spinals, epidurals, and regional blocks

  • Caselog Documentation: Required

    Facility Resources

    • Number of Providers: 3 MDs, 10 CRNAs

    • OR Availability:

      • 7 AM 3 PM: 11 sites incl. OB

      • 3 PM 5 PM: 5 sites incl. OB

      • 5 PM 7 PM: 3 sites incl. OB

    • Additional Facilities:

      • 1 CV Room

      • 1 Endo Room

      • 1 Cath Lab

      • EMR: EPIC

        Credentialing & Licensure

        • Timeline: ~120 days

        • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP all via AHA

        • Licensure Requirements:

          • Nevada Medical License must be ACTIVE before credentialing starts

          • NV CSR and DEA required

          • TEE certification not required
