Locum Tenens Physiatry South Burlington, VT | Long-Term OpportunityRecruitWell is seeking a Board-Certified PM&R physician for a long-term locums opportunity in South Burlington, Vermont. Join a well-established and collaborative outpatient physiatry program focused on high-quality care in a scenic and lifestyle-friendly location.Position Details:
  • Start: ASAP (pending credentialing)
  • End: October 31, 2025
  • Commitment: Must be available to work in clinic weekly (4 weeks/month)
  • Schedule:
  • Four full clinic days per week (8 AM 5 PM)
  • One weekend of 24-hour call coverage per month
  • Locums provider will not be responsible for supervision
  • EMR System: Epic Expectations for provider culture: Collaborative, team-oriented
  • Number of beds in this facility: The inpatient unit is currently 20 beds, with potential capacity for up to 35 beds Regarding night call
  • Overnight call is taken from home with no expectation of being physically present in the facility. There is remote access to the medical records (Epic)
  • There are no admissions overnight
  • Site does not require spinal intervention
  • There is no expectation of opioid management. If deemed necessary, opioids may be prescribed as appropriate
  • Nature of botox/% of injections: Much of the outpatient clinic role will include spasticity management, including different types of botulinum toxin
Practice Overview:
  • Setting: Outpatient-focused PM&R within a larger, multidisciplinary rehab program
  • Patient Population: Adults (18+)
  • Daily Volume: Full clinic schedule
  • Inpatient Call Coverage: Up to 20 patients on rehab unit during weekend call
  • Support: RN and MA support; no supervision required; no mid-levels
  • EMR: Epic
Clinical Focus Areas:
  • Spasticity care including Botox injections (required)
  • Spinal cord injury management
  • General MSK PM&R
  • Preferred skills: EMGs and joint injections
Candidate Requirements:
  • Board Certified in PM&R (ABPMR)
  • BLS certification
  • Must be comfortable practicing independently
  • IMLC not accepted; VT license required (can assist with licensing)
