Job Description
HEADLINE: Indianapolis, IN (about 45 minutes away): Two Pediatric Hospitalists needed to join expanding team of Hospital Care Physicians at Regional Referral Center. The full team will consist of four Pediatric Hospitalists and one Nurse Practitioner. Work 182 shifts per year. Average of seven or eight 10-hour day shifts and seven or eight 14-hour night shifts per month. Work Schedule: 7 on / 7 off but will be adjustable and flexible based on the scheduling needs. Responsible for rounding on pediatric inpatients. Level 2 nursery and newborns. H-1 and J-1 Visa physicians needing sponsorship are welcome to apply. Accepting recent graduates and practicing pediatricians available during 2025 and 2026. Financial: $230,000 to $270,000 plus excellent fringe benefits package – which includes a $100,000 retention bonus paid out over five years – and much more!

PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:
· Two Pediatric Hospitalists are needed to join an expanding team of Hospital Care Physicians at a Regional Referral Center.
· Ideal candidates should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics.

Availability: Both
Pediatricians who will be completing their residency training during 2025 and
2026, as well as Pediatricians who already have Pediatric Hospitalist work
experience will all be strongly considered and are welcome to apply.
· H-1 and J-1 Visa physicians needing sponsorship are both welcome to apply.
·
The full team will consist of four Pediatric Hospitalists
and one Nurse Practitioner.
· The new Pediatric Hospitalists will join a network that encompasses many specialties. They will also receive administrative support allowing them to focus on patient care and service.

· The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and inpatient services, rehabilitation services, surgical services, and laboratory and diagnostic services.
· Pediatric Hospitalists work as partners with their primary care physicians.
·
Work 182 shifts per year. Average of seven or eight 10-hour
day shifts and seven or eight 14-hour night shifts per month.
· Work Schedule: 7 on / 7 off but will be adjustable and flexible based on the scheduling needs.
· Responsible for rounding on pediatric inpatients.
· Level 2 nursery and newborns.
· REQUIRED PROCEDURES: Neonatal Resuscitation, Intubation, Lumbar Puncture, Circumcision (on-site training available) Emergency Needle Thoracentesis, Umbilical Lines, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, IV fluids, tube feedings, and antibiotics.

REQUIRED: NRP and PALS certified
·
Level II Nursery. 1 - 3 patient average
·
Pediatric Unit. 1 - 3 patient average. 4 - 6 average during busy season.
·
Emergency Department Consults
·
The average number of births per year is 1,300.
·
Epic EMR system
· Must be in house
FINANCIAL COMPENSATION: This Regional Referral Center is offering:

$230,000 to $270,000 salary range
