- Work with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses to include factors such as, history of trauma, co-occurring conditions and suicide. - Assist clients in identifying and managing personal, psychological and interactive problems, and in achieving effective personal, occupational, marital, and family development and adjustments. - Provide comprehensive social work services in the form of casework and case management by consulting on or developing discharge plans for complicated cases, psychosocial assessments and mental status examinations on behalf of beneficiaries. - Analyze information collected to identify symptoms, determine psychiatric diagnosis, develop treatment plan and/or determine advisability of counseling or referral to other specialists or institutions. - Conditions of Employment: - Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. - This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. - This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion. - This position requires that applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges. - This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. - The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. - This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. - This position has been designated "Mission Essential". - In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. - This position may be required to work overtime, holidays and weekends. - This position has a requirement to lift up to 44 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
