A health services network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Oncology team in Union County.

About the Opportunity:

• Specialty: Oncology
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm

Responsibilities:

The Oncology Nurse (RN) will:

• Assist the Physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and Physician access
• Collect lab specimens according to departmental guidelines; accurately label specimens
• Prioritize patient care by implementing Physician orders and nursing procedures
• Ensure proper preparation for patient visit; prepare pertinent information needed for patient visit
• Obtain vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, height & weight accurately and completely, as required
• Schedule appointments appropriately and accurately according to department guidelines
• Check and maintain logs for emergency equipment according to policy
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 6+months of Nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• NJS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of Nursing experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Experience with patient care equipment
• Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems
