We are seeking a dedicated full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our emergency medicine team in Oneida, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APC who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative ED setting.

Position Highlights

• Full-time schedule with flexible shift options (day, evening, nights)
• 10 and 12-hour shifts with predictable scheduling

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the emergency department
• Perform medical screening exams and manage a wide range of acute conditions
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic testing
• Perform procedures within scope (e.g., suturing, splinting, abscess drainage)
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Nurse practitioner (FNP, ACNP) or physician assistant (PA-C)
• Board certified (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
• Active New York license (or ability to obtain)
• EM, urgent care, or acute care experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required 
• Strong clinical decision-making and ability to manage patients independently

Preferred Experience

• Prior ED experience
• Comfort with moderate acuity and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-based, high-volume environment
