As a Medical Technician you will: - Perform a wide variety of tests in the areas of Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Diagnostic Immunology, and Phlebotomy in accordance with the regulatory guidelines. - Set up computerized equipment by selecting and entering the correct patient ID and programs information based on the type of analysis to be performed. - Prepare specimens and obtains supplies necessary for analysis. - Evaluate requested procedures to determine the suitability of specimen for analysis, requesting new specimen if determined to be unusable. - Calibrate equipment using standardized procedures and performs daily standardized quality control. - Input data and actions in appropriate Quality Control and Quality Assurance logs. - Perform preventive maintenance functions daily or as required. - Performs Other Duties as Assigned
