• Role: Locum Pediatric Dentist

• Location: Pittsburgh, PA - client is open to candidates not currently licensed in Pennsylvania (IMLC Welcome)

• Start Date: July 1, 2025

• End Date: October 1, 2025 (with possible extension)

• Availability: Ideally full-time (5 days/week), but open to candidates with at least 2 days/week availability

• Main Children's Hospital and Surgery Center

• Cover the dental resident clinic

• Supervise pediatric dental residents and see patients

• Possible OR time (tooth extractions, abscess drainage)

• Occasional emergency room support (no admissions)

• Clinic Hours: 7 AM 5 PM (OT paid at standard rate)

• Night Call: 5 PM 7 AM (fixed rate)

• Weekend Call: 24-hour (fixed daily rate)

• Clinic Volume: 1214 patients/day or 56 if in the OR

• Residents take first call, with attendings as backup

• While full-time attendings primarily cover call, long-term locums may be asked to assist

• Board Certified Pediatric Dentist (Required)

Licensure: Preference for candidates with a sedation licenseProcedures:

• Fillings, crowns, extractions, cleanings

• Full-mouth restorations as needed

• Deep sedation cases in the OR (anesthesiologist/CRNA present)

• Light sedation in clinic (occasionally)

• Support Staff: 1 Dental Assistant in the OR

  Preferred Experience:

• Sedation experience

• Pediatric surgical experience

• Trauma management experience (helpful, not required)

• Hospital experience preferred but not required

• Timeline: 68 weeks
