- Administers health care services in an outpatient setting in compliance with state and federal regulations and meets professional standards, including BUMED policies, and the requirements of designated regulatory agencies. - Evaluates patients with acute/minor and chronic illnesses, providing compassionate, competent care and follow-up. - Makes appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical exams, and appropriate laboratory and ancillary studies, as indicated. - Prescribes approved medications and other therapeutic agents. - Assesses individuals and develops a care plan based on physical and psycho-social status and on the needs of the patient. - Orders appropriate ancillary services, such as radiographs, electrocardiograms (EKGs),and other procedures. - Performs Other Duties as Assigned
