Duties: - Provide specialized nursing care to assigned patients. - Monitor patient condition and implement timely interventions to prevent complications and promote recovery. - Initiate appropriate emergency interventions upon recognizing and assessing life-threatening conditions to deliver timely, life-saving care. - Initiate advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) protocols by preparing and administering high-potency medications such as Nipride, dopamine, atropine, nitroglycerin, and dobutamine to manage life-threatening cardiac conditions. - Support physicians during complex and potentially life-threatening procedures, including cardioversion and the placement of invasive lines such as arterial, central venous, and pulmonary artery catheters. - Evaluate patient responses by monitoring cardiac output, vital signs, peripheral perfusion, and level of consciousness. - Coordinate referrals to appropriate allied health professionals such as Chaplains, Community Health Nurses, and Social Workers based on patient and family needs - Administer a combination of high-potency and potentially life-threatening medications through invasive lines as part of critical care interventions. Performs other duties as assigned.
