As a Physician Assistant (Family Practice)you will perform duties such as: - Make decisions concerning primary care needs of patients with physicians. - Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders and injuries for assigned patients. - Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems of clients. - Write prescriptions, order the administration of medications, dispense medications and prescribe controlled substance in accordance with approved treatment protocols. - Evaluate the total health care needs of patients and develop plans to meet clients' needs.
